The facility of linking credit cards with UPI is allowed only for RuPay credit cards. This isn’t a feature available to Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

UPI on credit

With UPI credit cards, you can scan merchant QR codes and pay through any UPI ID. This facility is not available with traditional cards.

Cashbacks and discounts

Most UPI credit cards offer attractive cashbacks on UPI transactions, which may be missing in traditional credit cards.

Wider acceptance

With UPI being accepted even at small shops, UPI cards have a wider acceptance compared to traditional cards which are accepted at larger stores.

Besides these differences, a UPI credit card works on the same principle as the traditional one. It allows all the other benefits of a traditional card.
