One of the best-preserved ancient sites, Dholavira, a Harappan city in Gujarat, was occupied between 3000 BCE and 1500 BCE. This UNESCO World Heritage Site in India contains a fortified city and a cemetery. The complex has evidence of a sophisticated water management system, social governance, art and culture, trade, etc. The site shows how ahead of their time the people of the Indian subcontinent were. · Kaziranga National Park, Assam
 

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, Kaziranga National Park in Assam is the place to be if you want to see the iconic Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Not only is this park home to over 2000 rhinoceros, but it is also a breeding ground for elephants, tigers, bears, panthers, water buffalo, swamp deer, and hundreds of migratory birds.
