An Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) account is an investment scheme in which your employer contributes the same amount as you against your retirement plan. It is part of your Cost To Company (CTC) and helps you save adequate corpora when you retire. You must transfer your EPF account to your new employer whenever you switch a company. The process was initially cumbersome, with several paper checks and verifications.

However, if you link your Aadhaar with your EPF account, you can transfer your account to a new employer and withdraw funds without any hassle. The article below mentions various ways to link your Aadhaar to your EPF account.

How to link your Aadhaar to your EPF account?

Linking your Aadhaar to your Universal Account Number (UAN) is convenient and quick. You can use online methods to link your account with your Aadhaar easily. Here are the common ways to link your EPF account to your Aadhaar:

  • Through EPFO's official portal
  • Using the Umang App
  • By visiting a nearby EPFO office

Linking your Aadhaar to your EPF account makes withdrawal and account transfers convenient.

Offline requests for linking your Aadhar to your EPF account can be slow and time-consuming. Hence, it's better to apply online using EPFO official portal or the Umang app. By linking your Aadhaar, you can conveniently transfer your EPF account or withdraw funds.

Nowadays, Aadhaar has become a compulsory document for almost all financial products and services since it makes the verification process easy. For example, you can open an Metra Trust online savings account using your Aadhaar and PAN details. The account can be opened in a few minutes, and you can enjoy several financial services at your fingertip. Metra Trust offers the industry's best interest rates and allows quick access to mutual funds, fixed deposits (FDs), and savings accounts.
