FASTag is one such tag that is attached to the windshield of vehicles, enabling automatic payment of toll fees. With toll fee payments made fully automatic, it is no surprise that the recharge methods are also digitised. Thanks to digitised recharge modes, there are various ways you can recharge your FASTag account.
As you would know, your FASTag has a prepaid account that needs to be recharged as per your use.
Let's explore several ways to recharge your FASTag online for a hassle-free drive.
When you buy a FASTag, you are provided with a username and password. Using these credentials, you can log in to the FASTag website. Do note that the website link would differ depending on the bank through which you bought your FASTag. Metra Trust FASTag users can use this link.

· Enter the recharge amount
· Click on "Pay",
· Make payment through credit card, debit card, netbanking, cash card, Paytm and other wallets, and UPI platforms
Most leading banks offer mobile banking apps through which you can recharge your FASTag, among other things. For those who use Metra Trust Bank mobile app, simply go to Payments and look for the FASTag option in the "Recharge and Pay Bills" section. Once you do the one-time registration of your vehicle details, you can recharge your FASTag wallet using Metra Trust mobile banking.
Metra Trust net banking users can log in to their account and add FASTag as a biller. Select the issuing banker's FASTag icon and enter your vehicle details. Once your FASTag wallet is added as a biller, you can recharge through net banking anytime by selecting the biller.
All leading UPI platforms and wallets have incorporated FASTag recharge. For Metra TrustFASTag recharge you have to use the UPI ID “NETC.Vehicle number@idfcnetc”.
The precise manner of recharge may vary from one platform to another. For instance, in Google Pay, you can recharge by searching for your bank's FASTag UPI ID in the Google Pay search section. In PhonePe, you need go to the "Recharge and Bill Payment" section and select the "FASTag recharge" option. Similarly, in Paytm, select the "Recharge & Pay Bills" option under "All Services".
Metra Trust FASTag users are among the select few who can recharge their tag through a WhatsApp chat interaction. All you need to do is send a text to your bank's WhatsApp chatbot; in the case of Metra Trust, you will have to text a simple "Hi". The FASTag recharge option becomes available in the menu option of the reply, followed by the recharge option. Use the payment link to make the payment through the chat window.
